easter

On the day before Easter i asked my dad if he could wake me up at 8:00. So he did, the next morning when woke up i saw my dad. The first thing i said was" did the Easter bunny come?" my dad said " I think so". I went down stairs and i saw so many candies it was like i was in a candy shop!!!!!!! For breakfast we had toast and put it in the toaster. After thinking we finished finding the chocolate eggs we went with a Tamara, Theo, Talula, Andrea, Gabbi and Maxxi to brunch!!! we had Easter hats we used them. After 5 or 7 days my mom looked in the toaster and found chocolate m&ms. We tried some they tasted like plastic we had to put them in the trash.

There once was a girl named Jenny who lived at Casa Blanca. People said that Casa Blanca was haunted by evil sprits but Jenny never believes them. But one nightJenny was going down stairs to get some food suddenly she heard a noise calling "Jenny we want you to,we want you to." she wondered who said he noise and what the thing or human wanted Jenny to do? Jenny felt to scared to eat any food so she ran up stairs and then she saw something in her room looking at her jewels and diamonds. She said 'anyone here" something said "NO i mean yes man" that made Jenny really scared. Then suddenly someone grabbed her and said " We are spirts stealing your stuff you should of believe your friends." Jenny had a pocket knife in her jeans, she took out the pocket knife and cut the spirts and the rope. The next day Jenny went to a new home.

My Holiday

When I went to Texas I got to hang out with my family. I saw my Grandma, we went to Sonic. We got Slushies, and Sonic blasts—which are ice cream shakes. My Aunt Jenny and I went on a walk with my cousin. We talked about how beautiful the Christmas lights were. Then I hung out with my cousin for the rest of the trip pretty much. We played with his Thomas the train and we colored for my Grandma. Then it was Christmas day. We got a lot of presents. My cousin’s favorite present were anything to do with Thomas the train. If he didn’t get Thomas he’d cry and throw it. Except for my present. My favorite present was the book about growing up from my Grandma.
After Christmas day, we went to IKEA and ate a lot of their food. My cousin got a soccer ball and I bet now that he wouldn’t really want it because he only likes Thomas. I got a swing. The next day we went to Red Robins. I got a milkshake, same with my cousin, Dennin. It was chocolaty. We had veggie burgers. The next day we went to get my hair cut and Dennin got his hair cut too which made his hair even curlier. We also ate sushi. Later that day we watched a movie and had popcorn and candy. It was good.
We flew home everybody was sad, we all cried. When I got home we went to the New Year’s party at Miller’s and ate marshmallows.

Hanukah

The Story of Hanukah by Astrid Dea-Sherman

A long time ago, there was a Greek ruler named Alexander the Great. One of his laws was to believe in your own gods, and to be peaceful to each other. Alexander died; there was a new Greek ruler. His name was Antiochus. He forced everybody to believe in his gods, the Jews said “no.” Antiochus sent the Greek soldiers to the Jews to kill them. There was one man whose name was Matthias. He gathered farmers and fought the Greeks. The farmers were called the Maccabees, which means hammer. The Greeks and Jews fought for three years. After all the three years of fighting the Maccabees won! The Jews started to rebuild everything that was broken. The worst thing that was broken was the Temple. Inside the Temple was the Menorah. The Menorah was blown out. It was usually lit for God everyday and all night. They only had a couple of drops of oil left. They lit the Menorah with the couple of drops of oil and a miracle happened. The menorah stayed lit for eight days. That’s why we have the menorah for Hanukah with eight candles. We light a new candle each night to remember a great miracle happened there.

Cake is back!!!!

Cake has gone missing!!!!!!!!!!!

Two night ago Cake was not in our house. She dug her self out of the fence! She has not been back since. Last night we put up signs that said LOST DOG and also in spanish. She still is not back. It rained, maybe her sceint from our house was lost because of the rain. Almost everyone in the town knows what she looks like and where she lives. My mom, dad and I our very scared and worried about Cake We hope we find her or someone else finds her.

I got two new cats they are so cute. Their names are Candy and Sugar skull. They are getting along with the puppies. Some times they nurse on the dogs, it is funny. So about the scorpion......it was in the corner of my bathtub. My mom said ''Honey get up slowly and get out of the tub.'' So I got out of the tub and said ''what is wrong?'' she said ''there is a scorpion.'' and I got all of the puppies and kitties went into my bedroom with them. my mom screamed, ''Nick come up stairs quick please.'' and then he killed it and everything was better!!!!!

My dog matzah is just an ordinary dog ...you think --well, she is not!!!
Believe it or not, she is an actual queen--- ya a real queen. I did not believe it either, but it is true.

Let me tell you how it begins......I was walking my dog Matzah until a bug bit her. It was not an ordinary bug, it was one that turns you into a queen. cool huh? I said to myself, ''if only i was in front and the bug bit me i could be a queen." Then I heard a weird noise, i thought it was Matzah. Had Matzah just started talking to me?-- she did!---i started to scream "talking dog-- talking dog!!!!!!!!! "
Then she said,"i am still Matzah, dude''
''ya your right, are you still going to live us or in a castle?'' I said.
''i do want to live in a castle but i like playing with you and my sister, cake.'' said Matzah "So I'm gonna live with you guys still."

Mexico

I am in Mexico now. i love it here soooo much, Except that it is so hot. My sister was here just three days ago the sadness of kari leaving made my fam and i sick. Tomorrow is the Mexican independence holiday! The party starts at 11:00pm. Sorta late Huh? I don't think that we are going to go because it is to late and the next day is a school day. School is fun mostly everything is in Spanish but I still like it. I might not get to write at all for a coppple of weeks.

Story for Tess

While I was in Rohobeth beach I went swimming.
We went to the beach. When I was at the beach and i was swimming a big crab washed up to the shore and I did not now what kind it was. It was as big as my face. After i figured out what it was-- it was it was a horse shoe crab-- I was not scared any more and it was pretty cool looking.
After that i went back out into the ocean to go swimming-- i saw Tess. i swam as fast as i could to see her but i just couldn't catch up to her so i gave up. so i started to swim back and then Tess saw me so she was stared to scream "Astrid wait up" so i stopped. then we played and played that was the best day ever

Once on a spring day I looked outside and I saw a little duckling, I knew that it was spring, but that assured me that it truly was spring. So I put my favorite shoes on and took a walk. "I love taking walks" I thought to myself. All the flowers, birds, cats, dogs, and even the squirrels. As I got about three blocks away from home I saw a tree frog, up in a tree of course. It was way prettier than the one in my science book. I knew nature was beautiful but not this beautiful. I learned nature is never what you think it really is. That's why I say " it's art but it's the artist". I never though of it like that, my friend Astrid said at school the next day. After school she and I walked home from school together. I saw a flower in a crack on the sidewalk. I thought longer about it than anything like it and I decided to just be.......Happy

my mom and dad made it up i love it!!! my mom made it up when my dad and mom and i where getting all my school supplies ready witch was fun! and i got to choose the order of it!!!!!!

Right now I am in Missouri. Once my grandma and I went on a golf cart ride. We saw some people that were form Kansas and Nebraska and Missouri they were horrible at driving it looked like maybe they were drunk. I was driving so it was a little bit more scary. But it was still really fun!!!!!!!!

My grandma and I went fishing and we heard thunder but that did not stop us from fishing.
because it wasn't that loud and was ok. so we waited and waited and waited but then i saw some fish coming to my line so i told my grandma, "i see some fish" and she said "cool" so finally i caught a fish when am nine years old!!!!!!! so after i caught the fish we moved to a different place. there was a really smart fish and he kept on eating my bait. but i got him!!!!!! it was really fun, but after i caught the fish i heard the thunder even louder-- so we we left and went home!!!

warm season cold month bad life --the game

it was a warm season in the summer. people went swimming, they were splashing and playing games. Diving into the water. In the winter there was a lot of snow, people were playing in it and making forts. It wasn't a bad life.

the best vacation ever

Once Upon  a Time there lived two girls. Their names were Jenny and Betty. Jenny was 16 and Betty was 14.  One day Jenny and Betty's family decided to  go on a trip to Mexico!!!!!!!!!!! Betty was super excited to go to Mexico because she never been to Mexico. Jenny already been to Mexico but she is even more excited then the last time she was there!!!!!!!! When the family arrived at the hotel they got separate rooms so the mom and dad shared a room and Jenny and Betty had to share a room. So they ordered room service and they got the most wondrous food's ever!!!!!!!!! So when they were done eating they knocked on their parent's door and asked "mom, can we go swimming?" the mom said " no, not by yourselves alone-- I'll ask dad if he can go with you guys, OK?" Jenny and Betty said "yes mom" So the mom asked the dad. He said, "yes" so the girls went and got their sunscreen and bathing suits on. Then they went swimming. A couple days later there were ready to go home and the girls said " This was the best vacation ever!!!"

How to make a Headband!!!!

Home-Ec Class.
1. Cut up a pair of PJs or other old clothes:
2. Cut out a piece of cardboard. Make it as long as from one of your ears to the other over your head. Use this as your pattern. Use a piece of hard paper from your recycling bin, like an ad for pizza.

3. Lay paper pattern on a piece of material. We used an old pair of PJs and some fabric from the crafts box.

4. Cut 2 pieces of fabric. We made our the shape of a flat foot ball, wider in the middle. It reaches over your head, ear to ear.
Don't let a baby take it away.

5. Sew the two pieces of fabric together the sides you want to show facing each other. Sew the long edges.
6. Turn it inside out, so the nice side is on the outside now.


7. Iron it smooth
8. Tuck in the ends so the raveled edges are inside and iron
9. cut 10 inches of elastic and sew into the two ends.
10. Put on head and wear!

PS. Babies can wear it too- "sweet, dude!"

Bad dream

I had a terrible dream last night. It was about my dog, Matzah.
Once a upon a time Matzah and I and my mom and dad and Cake went into the car for a ROAD TRIP. All the windows were down and Matzah was hanging out the side She fell and started flying through the wind, the sky. Then my family drove as fast as we could but we couldn't catch her so my mom and dad and Cake and I started crying. And we couldn't get her so we gave up. My mom and Dad and I kept on imagining Matzah but it was just our imagination, it wasn't Matzah. So every time they just started crying. We had to buy a dog-- it was mean and ugly it was not a thing like Matzah not nice like Matzah. not pretty like Matzah. One day Matzah actually came back-- but the family didn't believe it was Matzah. They touched her and it was Matzah! They gave back the ugly dog to the other owners.

In my dream Matzah didn't really come back, but I wanted this to be a happy story.
Matzah is fantabulous in real life. She is in my bed sleeping.

Astrid's friend Tess showed up to save her. The capturers captured Tess so both of the girls were royalty. The kidnappers were very nice to them, until one night the nappers thought of a really mean trick. It was to put fire on their hair. So they did that trick then it rained and rained and all the fire went out. The rain formed into a face. Then the face began to talk to the napsters. The Face said, " stop doing tricks to them." The bad guys replied,

"There are fleas in Texas the size of diamonds!"

Once upon a time: There was a cute little squirrel. Her name was Sunflower. She was a swimmer. She did really cool tricks, one day she got her own pool. She got to film stuff with her camera. There are flying ants in the pool with her and she got really scared. They got to do fun things in the water. When they were done swimming they got to dry off with a towel and had some water and some grapes and crackers.

Field Trip

I went into Houston yesterday for my school. We went to this museum. There was a science experiment thing. The scientist used a bottle with baking soda and vinegar, then he put a balloon on on top of the bottle. The baking soda was in the balloon which was not blown up. When the baking soda was in the vinegar it made the balloon expand. We also heard about polymers. They are linked together molecules. Like plastic.

I saw dinosaur fossils, and mummies from Egypt.

SOAP

Today I made soap with my Aunt Jenny -- it was a lot of fun. I got to chop tiny pieces of soap that was already made. Then I got to melt tiny pieces I chopped up.Then we pored it in to molds then put it in the freezer.Then we had to wait for 15 mins.And then we were done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today my dad and I did an experiment. We used bleach and hot sauce, and put it in a cup. We did not know there was vinegar in the hot sauce. Because if you use bleach and lemon juice and vinegar in just a couple breaths you could DIE. That's why my dad and I had to run inside, but we did not die. When we did the other experiment we had a leaf . We put the leaf in the bleach and we had to wait for a long time. When we were done waiting for the leaf, there was stripes on it. I got a piece of paper and colored it blue and put it in bleach. And the blue paper turned green. I had a fun time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
